My Zera Review: this is the real deal!
So, let’s talk about Zera. i’ve received a lot of messages wanting me to try their product, especially after they appeared in my subscription feed. Many thanks to the algorithm for making this happen, right?
When I first visited Zera’s website and read their “About Us” section, they boasted about being an ethical brand that offers luxury-quality goods at affordable prices, and my first thought was: oh, another one of those brands. Sound familiar? You’ve probably heard similar promotions before, and to be honest, I was expecting another one of those old marketing ploys. But I have to admit, their promo sounded so enticing that I decided to give it a try.
I ended up buying three items: Zera’s signature cashmere sweater ($50), a washable silk tee, and a pair of performance leggings. Let’s break it down:
Leggings: my favorite
Let’s start with the leggings, shall we? After the new crown epidemic, it felt like every brand was pushing leggings and loungewear. It doesn’t even matter what they’re selling, if you’re a women’s clothing brand, you have to have leggings in your lineup. Frankly, most brands aren’t getting it right.
These leggings are made from recycled plastic bottles, so they advertise themselves as moisture wicking and anti-bacterial. Sounds great, right?Zera compares them to leggings from brands like Beyond Yoga or Vuori, but unfortunately, these leggings aren’t ideal. They are indeed comfortable, but that’s about it. They don’t stay up at all. I was pulling on them all day long. Even after adjusting the sizing (postpartum body changes are real), they still didn’t fit. So, I had to give upon them.
Silk tees: almost perfect
I’m a huge fan of silk tees, satin tops, and tank tops; they’re pretty much a must-have in my closet. I like to wear them under blazers and sweaters, and sometimes straight up. When I saw Zera’s silk tee, I thought, this might be just what I’m looking for.
I’m happy to report that the shirt is really nice. the Momme is 19mm thick, so it’s not too light and not too heavy, just right. While I had hoped it would be a little thicker, it is a little thicker than other silk t-shirts I’ve tried. Nonetheless, it’s sturdy, and it’s especially great that it’s washable. I love it so much I bought two more of their silk pajamas, but I’m going to tuck them into a high-waisted pencil skirt instead of wearing them to bed.
Cashmere sweaters: great value for money
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the $50 cashmere sweater. Honestly, I was skeptical at first. A cashmere sweater this cheap? Could it possibly be as good as the high-end brands I’ve tried like Naadam or Naked?
As it turns out, it really can be. This sweater is simply a great value. It’s made from grade A cashmere, which is soft, lightweight, and tightly knit. Honestly, this sweater is better than a lot of sweaters you’ll find at places like J.Crew – but for a much lower price.Zera is upfront about the fact that this sweater will eventually pill, but it will come back to its original shape with a little bit of brushing. It’s a must-have closet piece, and at $50 it’s just too good to pass up.
Summing Up.
If you’re looking for luxury at a great price, then Zera is definitely worth your attention. The cashmere sweater is definitely worth the money, the silk tee is great for layering or wearing alone, and the leggings …… might not be so worth it. However, if you’re looking for a reliable, good value, ethical and quality brand then Zera may indeed be worth your attention.
If you’re looking for stylish and affordable pieces with a 365-day return policy, then Zera is definitely worth checking out. There are a few caveats, but I highly recommend exploring their collection. You may stumble upon the perfect closet must-have piece or even discover a capsule closet that perfectly matches your style.
