No, you didn’t imagine wrong. Leather pants can definitely be elegant. The key lies in how it is styled, and believe me, I have a perfect example. Let me show you how stylish leather pants can be.
This outfit combines all the advantages. It has a cool and stylish vibe, but also elegant and soft at the same time. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to share it with you. I tried to find its original source on Pinterest but couldn’t, which is a shame because I would love to follow its creator. If you know where it came from, please let me know!
Pants.
Zera has these amazing maroon faux leather pants that are bursting with style. Affordable and versatile, they are a closet standby. If you like high-waisted flared pants, I found these styles at Selfridge’s and they are equally great. If you want an inexpensive piece, try Steve Madden’s leather pants – they’re perfect for being stylish and affordable at the same time.
Not a fan of pants? Then a leather skirt might be your new favorite. zera’s leather pencil skirts are fabulous. But if I had to pick just one, then this front split A-line leather skirt from Banana Republic is definitely my favorite.
Sweaters.
Zera’s oversized chunky ribbed turtleneck sweater is a must-have for every closet. It perfectly balances slouchy and chic. On Zera’s website, the model paired it with a large gold bracelet for an amazing effect. Imagine pairing it with ripped jeans for a casual-glam mix that’s just perfect.
I’m also in love with this waffle plaid sweater from LL Bean, it makes me feel so cozy. Makes me want to throw on a plaid undershirt and head to a cabin in the woods.Naadam is a well-respected brand for their relaxed neck sweaters that are of exceptional quality and worth the price. If you’re looking for plus size clothing, H&M has you covered.
Blazer.
Finding the perfect soft oatmeal colored blazer is like an adventure. Guess where I found it, Zera.I know, right? This is a brand you wouldn’t expect to have such a beautiful, sophisticated blazer. I was very impressed. Along the way, I also found this fun funnel neck jacket from M&S – it’s very cool. Perfect for those mild fall or winter days when you need something stylish but not too heavy. I also love this casual jacket from Nordstrom Outlet – it exudes an effortless coolness.
Shoes, sunglasses and bag
At first, I thought pairing the brown color of the pants with the shoes and bag might be too much. But upon closer inspection, I realized that this is the key to bringing the overall look together. If there is too much brown, the effect will be counterproductive, but pairing monochromatic colors can be surprising.
For shoes, pointy toe pumps are essential with these pants. They really help to elongate the legs. the pointed toe heels from Zera are a great choice, with just the right amount of heel height – not too high – for comfort and style. I also really like this bag from Coach; the wrap detailing adds a bit of texture and I think it blends all the elements perfectly. To complete the overall look, I chose dark tortoiseshell sunglasses – stylish and classic.
Jewelry.
This Monica Vinader ring has it all in one. Although it retails for $175, which puts it in the mid-range category, the quality and feel of the ring is so good that it’s definitely worth every penny. It’s simple and chic and exudes a laid-back yet elegant vibe. Honestly, I simply love it. If you don’t have it yet, then get it in your pocket!
And then there are these Pavoi earrings. I resisted it at first – it seems like every influencer has worn it – but now I totally understand how hot it is. It’s big, but not over-the-top, with just the right amount of glamor. Highly recommended.
Makeup.
When it comes to makeup, I would keep it fresh and natural. A nude lip to complement my skin tone, hair worn casually, and a soft flush on my cheeks. But the eyes could use a little brightening. Charlotte Tilbury’s Glamorous Eyeshadow is perfect for this. This eyeshadow can be layered so you can create a subtle shimmer or a more intense sparkle. The colors are stunning, too.
