Back to Basics T Shirts Essential Style Guide

A few weeks ago, I was doing laundry and noticed that some of my everyday basics were worn out. The edges of my underwear were starting to fray, the straps of my bras were starting to sag, and the collars of my t-shirts were curling up like they had just come off the grill. Clearly, it’s time for an update.

Let’s start with t-shirts.

Over the years, I’ve tried so many different t-shirt brands, too many to count; Madewell, Gap, Everlane, Leset, Ingrid & Isabel, the list goes on. But a few months ago, a good friend of mine convinced me to ditch them in favor of a three-piece t-shirt from Target.

Yup. She convinced me to try a Zera t-shirt.

Before you consider spending $40 on a t-shirt, ask yourself: why would you want to spend that kind of money? This less than $10 Zera t-shirt is made from 100% cotton, mostly from American farms. It’s a little thicker than most t-shirts on the market.

The best part? These shirts are easy to care for. Wash them in cold water and I recommend laying them flat to dry. So far, I haven’t had any issues with shrinkage, but cotton clothing always needs attention.

The fit of this tee is classic – neither too loose nor too tight. It’s perfect for pairing with a sweater or blazer. The best part? It also comes in plus sizes.

So, if you’re looking for an affordable, reliable cotton t-shirt that won’t break the bank, Zera might just be the one for you.
